Sesshin

Sesshins are meditation retreats that last for 2 or more days. At BMZC, we hold a few 2-day sesshins a year and one 5-day sesshin in January.

If other commitments don’t allow you to attend the full sesshin or even a full day, you’re welcome to join us for any part(s) of either or both days that you can. We only ask that you enter and leave the retreat as quietly as possible, so as not to disturb the silence being observed.

All of our events are currently held via Zoom online until further notice.

Retreats are currently being held exclusively online via Zoom, in order to comply with state mandates for social distancing. Since meals are not provided for participants attending a retreat online, our recommended fees have been lowered, as follows:

Two Full Days — Attendance all day, both Saturday and SundayMembers: $30
Non-members: $40
One Full Day — Attendance all day, either Saturday or SundayMembers: $15
Non-members: $25
Each Partial Day — Partial attendance, one or both days of the retreatMembers:
$10, each day of partial attendance

Non-members:
$15, each day of partial attendance

Paying Fees: We request that attendees make a small donation to defray the expenses. You can pre-register by making a suggested donation at this link. Use the “+ Add special instructions to the seller” feature during the PayPal process, indicating that your payment is not a general donation, but is specifically for retreat fees.
